Educational Premises to Health Sciences

Health sciences include all disciplines that need to be known for providing health care to humans and animals. Therefore, they don’t only include strictly medical issues but a series of scientific subjects, the most important of which are connected to the basic premises, such as biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics, to technological tools, to a methodology constructed on reasoning rather than on notions. Based on the three main pillars of sustainability, environmental, social, and economic, this course aims also to teach general information concerning the interaction between health and the natural and anthropic habitat, together with epidemiological, social, and economic issues related to the construction of a sanitary system tailored on a specific country and/or on a definite region.

In this direction, the knowledge of scientific English, the competence to communicate online safely and effectively, the ability to acquire rigorous and correct scientific information will be also taught. The aim is to assist pre-bachelor students in assessing their ability to pursue a career dedicated to health sciences. This course is therefore structured for beginners, who can test and/or deepen the level of knowledge as a prerequisite for their future access to the faculty of medicine, to the scientific faculties connected to it and, more generally, to all courses of training for the health professions
